Now at peak, this legend from Bonnes-Mares' Chambolle side shows brick-red hues with a nose of dried cherry, truffle, and antique leather. The palate is all tertiary splendor—flavors of fig compote, black tea, and forest floor glide across resolved tannins with a finish that Vinous (98 pts) says "redefines elegance." Aged 18 months in 33% new oak, this 2015 solar vintage (harvested September 3rd) is drinking perfectly now–2040. No decant needed—pair with wild duck consommé or aged Comté cheese. Only 60 cases exist today.
