Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Rouge Clos Du Roy is an intensely structured, terroir-driven Pinot Noir from the northernmost, iron-rich sector of Marsannay. Pataille’s signature 100% whole-cluster fermentation and low-intervention winemaking create a wine of remarkable delineation, vibrant acidity, and profound aging potential. Opens with vibrant, pure red and dark fruits, including black cherries, wild strawberries, and red currants, complemented by hints of mulberry and bramble. As it breathes, layers of earth, warm iron, and floral notes (violets and lavender) emerge, beautifully integrated with Pataille’s signature savory spice and lifted stem notes. Medium-bodied and taut, showcasing exquisite freshness and a core of focused, high-toned berry fruit. It is highly concentrated with a mineral backbone, framed by fine-grained, velvety tannins that guide the wine into a long, intense, and elegant finish.
