This profound Cabernet Franc from Chinon's limestone terroir displays a deep garnet core with bricking edges. The complex nose weaves together dried cherry, tobacco leaf, truffle shavings, and a striking graphite minerality. On the palate, concentrated flavors of blackberry compote, cedar, and crushed violets unfold across a framework of polished tannins that earned 94 points. Fermented with native yeasts and aged 24 months in large foudres, the wine achieves remarkable depth at just 13% alcohol while maintaining vibrant acidity.
