This high-altitude Cabernet displays opaque ruby hues and complex aromas of black currant, cedar, and dark chocolate. Extended maceration and 14 months in French oak (35% new) build formidable tannins with flavors of blackberry compote, espresso, and graphite that scored 94 points. The minute-long finish shows vanilla pod and Mediterranean herbs, ideal for dry-aged steak or braised short ribs.
