Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc '22

The Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc (formerly known as Petit Clos) is the flagship organic wine from the Bourgeois family's Marlborough estate. It is noted for blending New Zealand's fruit intensity with the mineral "Sancerre-like" restraint of its French heritage. A complex and inviting nose featuring ripe citrus (lime and grapefruit), white peach, and orange blossom. It often displays "green" vintage characteristics like mint, nettle, and elderflower, alongside a distinct gunflint or stony minerality. Medium to full-bodied with a "textural, juicy" mouthfeel. It leads with concentrated stone fruits and tropical hints, balanced by a vibrant, zingy acidity. Unlike many Marlborough SBs, it is described as showing structural detail rather than being overtly "bulbous" or sweet. Long and satisfying with a lingering mineral finish of chalky seashell and flint.
