Made from the rare Ploussard (or Poulsard) grape, this wine captivates with an incredibly pale, translucent ruby color, akin to a dark rosé. The nose is delicate and ethereal, offering fragrant aromas of red currant, wild strawberry, rose water, and a subtle peppery note. On the palate, it is feather-light and silky, with barely-there tannins and bright, cranberry-like acidity that emphasizes flavors of blood orange and pomegranate. The finish is clean, dry, and surprisingly long for such a delicate wine. This quintessential Jura red is made using semi-carbonic maceration to enhance its fruity and floral aromatics without extracting heavy tannins. Earning 91 points for its unique charm and elegance, it is a perfect pairing for charcuterie, grilled salmon, or even lightly chilled alongside Asian cuisine.
